Between 12 and 22 Aug 2021 the exhibition “Beyond III – [post]colonial Present” took place at Altes Pfandhaus in Cologne. On display were ten contemporary photographic positions on the theme of post-colonial present that were questioning stereotypical images and tried to create new image worlds far from clichés. Beyond showed a wide variety of concepts and approaches, of which some overlapped and interacted with each other. The diversity of the single projects was also reflected in the presentation of each photographer.
